Tamesides Whit Friday Brass Band contest remembering Brian Hill
Brian Arthur Hill 11th June 1955 - September 13th, 2018 Brian will be remembered at this year's band contest a contest he brought back to Dukinfield 23 years ago at the Tame Valley Hotel where he was the landlord and later on at the Albion hotel in Dukinfield.
Brian was the Chairman of the friends of Tameside Brass band committee set up to fundraise and support Tamesides venues in the contest in times when grants to support the contest were being withdrawn due to Government cuts.
Brian and his committee made sure the contest continued in Tameside and we are confident we will go from strenght to strength in his memory.
At both Dukinfield venues, a special trophy will be won by the best local bands along with the cash prize. we all still miss Brian and his family will be in our thoughts on the night .

The new owners have had a visit from council officers they confirmed the building was being refurbished, it will continue to be a house with multiple occupants (HMO) they claim the resident will be young disabled people.
All the recent occupants have left the building sadly they are still being blamed for some of the crimes in the area, the building will be inspected when completed. further updates will be posted if required.

Holly Grange Dukinfield update
We have been informed today that Holly Grange as now been sold, we will establish who the new owner is ASP and seek a meeting with the new owners, we need to know what they intend to use the building for our initial information is the new owner wants the residents there now to vacate the premises.
This is of course a private sale but we must be informed where the existing resident are going and what the building will be used for in the future.
Detail will be shared once we have all the information.
