You are right to be concerned about privatisation of NHS services. Look at the shambles in Tameside with the use of private care companies. My parents were overcharged at least TWICE by their care providers and my mother, who died in August of cancer, was threatened by Tameside council with court action.
Eventualy I reported the matter to the Police which resulted in the threat being dropped while in response we paid an agreed lower fee.
I was able to spot the overcharging because the carers left a log of the time spent "caring" for my mother at her house. A practise they no longer do. Wonder why?
