This week in my home town and all over Tameside we are being given free bins for the home to place unwanted food in, this is then recycled we will throw away more food this week than these people will eat all next month and thousands of children will die.

Dukinfields Mount Everest connection

William Kenyons Rope works Dukinfield made the ropes used by the Sir Edmund Hillarys historic climb of Everest, when the company decided to sell off part of their works and develop the site for housing I suggested that they name the sites after this historic event , We now have Everest Close and Tensing Fold after the head sherpa Tensing Norgay (Tenzig)  who made the climb with sir Edmund,Kenyons still make ropes in Dukinfield and are still a major employers in the area.
