Transport dept have indicated that they are willing to grant aid £2m to improve cycle lanes in Tameside

The new Dukinfield town council will be holding the next meeting on the 7th September at 4pm Dukinfield town hall lesser hall 2 .

We will be trying different times for these meetings and all community groups are welcome to join  us along with the public , we will only deal with Dukinfield issues at these meetings.

New parking restrictions on Birch lane Dukinfield

The council is looking to introduce limited parking on this stretch of Birch lane to enable the local Church and its regular users better access , car traders and other are using the area to advertise their trade leaving vehicle there for days and weeks.
The regulations will limit the time vehicle can stay , details are printed and posted on nearby lighting columns.  

Theft of York stones and paving in Tameside

Thieves are targeting Tameside for York stone paving and other paving especially in the Mossley area  we have  incidents all over Tameside over the past month , if you see anyone removing them please contact the council .even if it looks like genuine work by the council they will confirm this for you.

Dukinfield update Sand hills and photos .

United Utilities today arrived on site on the Sand hills and have agreed to repair the leak causing problems on the Pantomime steps , they expect to have the work done with 14 days .

New photos up in the Library these will remain on view until the end of August .
