Dukinfield shop raided today

A Dukinfield shop was raided today by  various agencies led by Tamesides enforcement officers several serious issues were identified at the premises including large quantities of fake tobacco and uninsured vehicles all have been seized  ,the council had previously removed the  licence to sell alcohol  from the premises for selling illegal alcohol.
I understand the shop is now closed due to some other issued relating to illegal use of electricity for the premises .

Dukinfield update

The bogus charity scammer recently operating in Dukinfield did cause many people to contact me sadly many had handed money over to her several have mad an official complaint to the police and they are now dealing with it interviews have taken place , I will be giving a statement and providing my CCTV footage for them .

Thank you for all who have contacted me with so much accurate information and for those who have asked for further information on CCTV schemes and neighbourhood watch schemes .

I am now looking to get some information published about how we can all check out people who do genuinely work for charities officially, causes we would all like to support but like me become very suspicious when we have people like this women scamming people she will have caused them so much damage.

We need to work with genuine charities to sort this out and we will .

Dukinfield update ,more CCTV success

Tamesides CCTV operators alerted the police when they picked up three young men in the small park on Tower street Dukinfield  early Monday morning at around 4 15 am  the three left the park onto Park road services area trying back garden gates and looking into back garden one bike was stolen .

The three then disappeared up the service road between Jubilee Ave and Tower street where my home CCTV picked them up ,on leaving the service area about 4 45 am the police arrived and they were arrested , great work by the councils CCTV staff tracking them and leading the police to these young men the bike was recovered by the cops they had left it in the Towers street park .

The recent charity scammer operating  mainly in Dukinfield prompted to me to see if we can bring in more of the home watch schemes sometimes called neighbourhood watch had we had several schemes operation this woman would have been caught much earlier the police are now investigating her .

We also have other scammers preying on our vulnerable residents and our regular burglars, all could be deterred if we had good schemes operating in our communities its not just about Dukinfield its all over Tameside ,as councillors we can and will help and we will discuss this at our next town council meeting date to be arranged , we will also update on CCTV schemes we have supported .

Another scheme we are promoting is one that helps local residents look after small areas in their community by planting shrubs and flowers to improve the area you may have seen one we do on Oxford road now with a large Love Dukinfield board on site .

Finally the Old Park hotel on Crescent road renamed Riverside some years ago is being looked at fora conversion into flats a planning application as been submitted.

We have a woman knocking on doors claiming to be collecting for a charity says she lives local sometimes shes takes a young girl with her , its a con dont give her any cash and call the police one tale she tells is about running around Dovestones and is looking for sponsors .

Dukinfield festival was a huge success and we are looking for sponsors and volunteers to help do it each year .

The New inn pub building  owners on Birch lane have submitted a planning application to turn it into a day nursery .
